You are looking at a matchworn and signed Birmingham City 2012/2013 away, that’s been signed and personally dedicated to me by Aberdeen hero Adam Rooney. This shirt, as it is personally dedicated, is not for sale at any price.
Prior to joining Aberdeen and establishing himself as a legend to many Dons, Adam Rooney spent his early footballing years in the Stoke City U18 squad, before making loan moves to Chesterfield and Bury. His first permanent move would be to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in July 2008, spending three years in Inverness before moving to Birmingham City in the summer of 2011.
This shirt was personally acquired by myself, making it even more special to me, as Adam was the first professional footballer I have worked in direct collaboration with. OTLS have done multiple matchworn deals via third parties, but this is the first time we’ve obtained one straight from the source.
Another personal touch, the first Aberdeen goal I ever celebrated inside Pittodrie was scored by Adam Rooney, scoring in September 2014 against Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Rooney grabbed the goal to make the game 1-1 against his former club in a game which Aberdeen went on to win 3-2. Having the player who scored the first goal I celebrated in the stadium not only be aware of the brand, but reaching out and working with us, is a rather surreal feeling.
